After sharing what I carry in my purse, I got several requests to talk about my kitchen and the appliances and health tools I use frequently. Here’s a list of items I wish I had considered before getting married, so I could have added them to my wedding registry.
I cook 2-3 times a day and rarely use a microwave, so the items I have now are sturdy and multi-functional. Many of them are expensive, but we budgeted carefully and most come with extended warranties. Since I often try out new recipes for my blog, I’ve collected some appliances and tools I hadn’t initially planned to buy.
Aside from the usual refrigerator and oven/stove, I have a range of small appliances that I use regularly.
Cooking often means having good cookware is essential for me. I only use cookware that’s natural, eco-friendly, and easy to clean. This limits my options but the few versatile pieces I have are used constantly!
Apart from larger appliances, I have a variety of smaller kitchen items I use all the time. I’ve reduced my collection by getting rid of single-use items, especially those that take up a lot of space. Here are the essentials I still keep:
I’m a big fan of jars and use them for everything, so they deserve their own mention. We use jars for storage, drinking, fermenting things like beet kvass or water kefir, and making salsa, as well as for second ferments of kombucha. I adore glass jars and have quite a collection in my kitchen.
In addition to these, there are some unusual items that are often found on my kitchen counter. There are many more kitchen items, but these are the ones I use most frequently.
What’s in your kitchen? Are there any fantastic kitchen tools I should know about? Do you have any of the same items? Feel free to share your thoughts!
