Crafting Your Own Feline Delights

Crafting Your Own Feline Delights

For my kids, pets really are family. They came up with the idea to make homemade treats for our dog and wanted to whip up some for our cats, Penelope and Tiger, as well, just to keep things fair.

Similar to the dog treats we made for Daisy, these cat treats are packed with coconut oil and other healthy ingredients cats enjoy. They’re easy to prepare, store well in the fridge, and our cats happily eat them cold.

These treats are part of our approach to natural cat care and holistic methods for keeping our pets in great shape. There are countless variations you can try with this recipe, and I’d love to hear your versions in the comments.

I baked the treats on a baking sheet lined with natural parchment paper to prevent sticking and kept them in a glass jar in the fridge.

Since sharing this, many have asked what cat food we use. I’ve tried several brands over the years and even considered making our own. However, I’ve decided to trust the experts and now rotate between different grain-free cat foods (all wet, never dry). For top-notch quality and convenience, check out this great cat food delivery service that uses real ingredients.

Have you ever made homemade treats for your pets? How did they turn out, and how would you tweak this recipe?
