“Coconut Oil Infused Lotion Bar Sticks”
I’m a big fan of coconut oil because it’s so versatile. We use it in everything at home, from cooking to even putting it in toothpaste. My latest DIY project with coconut oil is making these coconut oil lotion bar sticks. I’m planning to make a few more batches to have them ready as Christmas gifts.
Lotion bars are super easy to make and are specifically designed for use on dry skin. Unlike soap, you don’t use them for cleansing or on wet skin; instead, they’re fantastic for moisturizing and nourishing your skin after a bath or shower. These are even simpler to make than my original lotion bars because they only require two ingredients: coconut oil and beeswax.
When I’m in a rush to get the ingredients, I order coconut oil and beeswax pastilles with fast shipping. I made these lotion bars using empty reusable plastic tubes for convenience; they glide on the skin easily. Although I used a particular type of tube, there are also cheaper options that resemble regular deodorant tubes.
This recipe will make about 5-6 lotion bar tubes, depending on the exact ingredients you use. If you’re interested in adding other beneficial ingredients like shea butter and cocoa butter, I have some other lotion bar recipes that you might like.
